Meira (Hadas Yaron, of Filling the Void) is a young Hasidic Jewish wife and mother living under constant traditional pressures in today’s Montreal. She finds a little comfort secretly listening to the forbidden sounds of soul music. That’s not the only secret Meira is hiding from her husband; she’s also secretly taking birth control pills.

Félix (Martin Dubreuil) finds himself searching for answers after the death of his estranged father. One day, walking around the neighborhood, Félix runs into Meira and feels an instant connection to her. Meira, a conservative soul, tries to escape from even the thought of being with Félix, but the more she resists the more she is tempted to be a part of his secular world.
