Dima Nikitin (played by Artem Bystrov), is the handsome, upright center of his working-class family. Providing for his young wife and his parents, his sense of responsibility extends to the 800 residents of a city housing block that is in disrepair, the victim of corrupt politicians siphoning its maintenance funds into personal accounts. When Dima is called out to repair a burst pipe at the building, he finds a much larger problem – a foundation crack in the groaning building that is widening by the minute.
